The Registry includes Greek and foreign scientists of an established reputation, professors teaching in higher education institutions, or distinguished researchers in domestic or foreign research institutions. Preferably the experts have prior experience in the accreditation and evaluation of institutions of higher education. The Registry also includes representatives from professional or other scientific associations who can appreciate the contribution of studies to professional practice.
Members of the Council of the Agency, as well as special scientific staff working with it in any way, cannot be included in the Registry.
The Registry of Independent Experts is drawn up following a public call by the HAHE addressed to those interested and possess all standard qualifications as defined and specialized in the call for each specialty or category.
Additional suggestions for the registration of experts may be made by higher education institutions and the HAHE. The HAHE at a special Council meeting decides whether or not to approve applications.
The procedure for maintaining and updating the Registry is determined by decision of the Agency, which is published in the Government Gazette.
